yes its a FACT that it was invented and i even read the classic book of DANTE "PURGATORIO" which is full of symbolic interpretation. The church owes DANTE a lot because of that book and not because of the bible!

Purgatory concept is Biblical in Catholic Doctrine since that concept can be read in 2 Maccabees.

But the question is Maccabees is an Apocryphal Book,it is a texts of uncertain authenticity that is why is is taken out in the Canonical Bible.

Are you really..really...really sure about this? it was already believe as early as 3rd century as mention in Tertullian's "De Corona Militis", Tertullian is one of the church fathers 160 A.D. (ecclesiastical writter 2nd to 3rd century). Even Judaism has Gehenna for temporary purification before release...Dante Allegheri is a 14th century catholic writer.

Kuan man daw na Pien justification lang...meaning Christ simply gives us all the chance to have a new relation with God..which has been cut-off after man's fall because of what happens with Adam and Eve..

ecclesiastical writters are not the authority of our souls.. the words of GOD are weighs heavier than all those church writings.. no christian is above the bible as no muslim is above the koran..

i agree nga if naa purgatory, whats the purpose of christ coming to die for our sins since moadto pa man diay jud ta sa purgatory..

wala man sa bible ng purgatory oi.. the concept of purgatory comes from the pagan concepts of afterlife..

why do catholics make salvation hard? maau pa ang uban just trully believe and youll be saved.. hehehe

to prove nga naa purgatory, why dont somebody die and come back to life..(christ did that but he said nothing bout a purgatory) and while doing that, please check the existence of heaven and hell para mawala doubts..
