let us forgive mr TS kung wrong choice of words...maybe he wants to spice up the discussion lng..

nway mora rani wake up call..opening up opportunities..bringing up other career paths..some may find this motivating, others may not and instead get insulted nuon..pero let us try nlng to understand mr TS..

mr silverado found happiness being an employee..mr TS is a happy businessman..so i think depende lng jud na sa taw..if mr silverado retires im sure magput up pajud xa daghan negosyo..or he may continue as a consultant of his former company pa..mr TS for sure moexpand creating more jobs so mo benefit jud tanan..importante lng tingali as individuals prepared ta sa ato future and happy ta plus nkatabang ta sa lain taw og sa growth sa ato nasod whether empleyado or negosyante ka..

pde manta mo work nya magnegosyo at the same time..uban focus manjud sa negosyo..uban tingali naa negosyo na pero nanarbaho kay chicks au ang boss..hehe diskarte lngjud na like wat mr Amorsolo said..

I agree... mao if businessman ta we should be sensitive, i handle 14 agents under my team. I am extra protective of my agents, if they fall behind the stats, i asked them what happen? what's wrong? before any intervention, we should know the root cause otherwise no amount of coaching will be successful.

I don't use negative comments on them, I use positive reinforcement.. these knowledge i learned while working in a call center which is also useful if i eventually venture into business..

I forgive Mr TS for the wrong choice of words, for not sensitive enough to the feelings of the working class, for not knowing how to make constructive criticism and positive reinforcement...

We both will learn from each other.

as to the TS and other peeps either call center agents or employees, or businessmen in their own right i must say we all have our own opinions and for sure each one of us is entitled to our own opinion.

pirme jud kita ang sakto and uban sayup... but as for me... it is better to have a job and a business at least there will be a safety net at the end of the day if ang usa ka source of income nimo mawala or low kaayo income...

as i was reading some posts, naa-y istoryan dire nisulti na wala gitudlo sa skul regarding this matter etc... yes, there is no subject teaching us how to handle money and finances... but when I started to teach in 4th year highschool in Social Studies: Economics I am starting to facilitate them in terms of being business minded and let them experience unsa ang life kung mgstart og business. I always remind my students that "we spent 12 years of our lives in school ang ending manarbaho lang?" pathetic ain't it? di kabawi ang ato mama og papa sa ilaha nagasto nato worth millions na with the plete, tuition, pagkaon and other stuff para makahuman lang ta skwela.

but sad note is that their mindset are already fixed to go to college and earn a degree para makatrabaho...

yes, business is good at least we would not be working to be someone else's slave... but to educate people regarding business this is another thing when their mindsets have already been fixed to get a job and get salary out of it.. naa uban thru the process of working nakadiscover na there is another opportunity for business.

for those who are talking about mga tawo dire ga lisud og english and who are they to mock call center agents... let me say this, honestly... you don't need to be good in english to be a good businessman... my parents are not good in english maglisud man gali sila og talk sako husband but hey they are good business people.. and mas dako pa kwarta sa bangko compared sa amo duha sa ako bana---

what about the chinese and japanese businessmen who have established businesses here...? why is it naay uban work mo ingon proficiency in mandarin or amoy or nihonggo is a plus.. meaning ang mo trabaho naay plus factor if they know how to speak the language of the clients and the boss...

asa man ang english nasud sa equation in business? wala db? if you are good in math then you indeed have a long way to go... kato maayo ug english sa skul or karon..daku2x og possibility hina2x sad og math...

i must say before we even throw stones at other people we might see ourselves first and instead of exchanging too much stuff here, bragging pla income, sweldo, unsaý napalit or na ipundar... would it make a lot of sense of we talk stuff that will help the istoryans and other guests who accidentally dropped by in this thread na naa pud sila makat-unan and to weigh their options before even considering doing one?

amen... i share your thoughts exactly...

give a man a fish and he will not be hungry for a day.. teach a man to fish and he will never be hungry for the rest of his life....

--- but never teach him to make a fishing line or else your out of businesess and youll be the one hungry... heheheheheh (ako2x lang ni last nga line ha)

I think ang TS nakahimo ug ingon ani nga thread because he feels he is more powerful/very confident because of his business nga sa tan-aw niya ni grow sa pagkakaron. Kinsa raman pud baya ang nagpabuhi sa iyang business, dba iyaha raman pud nga mga employee?

Kung wagtangan ni siya ug mga tao, do you think mogrow pa kayha ni iyang business? Employees are good assets in someone's business. It is the same as agents. So, don't ever look down all employees especially call center agents because they are the ones who made you a businessman.

dugay na ko nga sulti ana nila.. manglook down ug mga empleyado unya sila mga negosyante... tarong ba na? unya morason nga dili daw empleyado ila gi lookdown but those who waste their talent (sic). what made you say that who the hell are you to insult the working class? so ang inyo mga empleyado walay talent? or u just can't afford to employ people who are qualified?

sa ako na gi ingon sa unahan ang negosyo dili mabuhi kung wala empleyado.. its a symbiotic relationship. simple! molambo ang negosyo kung ang empleyado malipayon kay ganahan man pud mo trabaho.

naa pay isa diha nga mo ingon nga ang maayo ug ingles karon dako ug posibilidad hina ug math... i don't know where he get his facts.

agree ko and disagree on some parts...

wats up with english.. its no big deal.. every highskul grad can understand it.. you dont need to be very good with it to understand it... kasabot man gani ta koreans with whatever english they have..

ang importante dire is effective communication.. you may be great at commanding the english language but if you dont make the point across.. its useless.. you can be an effective communicator using any language (even body language)..

but mathematics is crucial.. not everyday action needs english but many evryday chores require even the simplest of math.. higher understanding of math is an advantage.. its the universal language.. filipino, american, chinese, japanese, german, african you name it, knows what profit looks like.. plus, with math, mka mao pud ka trending.. businessmen understand this part, its more of an art than a science, can only be gained thru experience.. like we know when a company lay-offs workers and we ca even know, which workers will lose their job..

daghan ko gi handle engineers nga kung maginingles na gani, gusto jud nimu sumbagon.. (joke ra ha) but pa solve problem involving numbers.. mag nganga nalang ka sa kapaspas and ka precise nila..

basta 1+1=2 wala na jud mo kontra. pati aliens from other planets kasabot jud

kanang wasted talent.. ive seen it myself.. no need to explain.. naa jud tao nga bright tana academically pero wala jud diskarte.. (although kadto mga engineers ako gimention earlier, maau tana mag learn sila at least some presentable english oi, sayang ila talent, wala na maximise)

talented people are very important to any businesss! i would never hire an incompetent lawyer to deal some of the transactions of my biz.. tanan negosyante gusto talented employee.. if he/she is not. then he/she is a liability.. like kinsa man mo hire helper nga di kamao mo clean sa haus bah..

i agree na its a relationship.. but id like to add na dapat ang employer should foster personal growth of his/her employee.. your business grows if people working on it grows..
