It's wierd how I'm so metal influenced and Rising Phoenix isn't a metal band.

We're hard rock with metal and punk influences.

From what the crowds/supporters/fans tell us, we're as loud as a metal band and have as much energy and carry the same attitude as a metal band, but the die hard metal heads in our area don't consider us metal.

I guess that's a good thing at times, because we have the potential to tap into a wider fan base. But on a couple of our songs, we have the insane shredding so we have respect with the local metal scene.

Unique sound we have, it's liek all our influences came together in this band. See our bassist (Steven) is more punk, I'm more the thrash metal, and our guitarist (Rafael) is influenced by Lamb of God, Slayer, and System of a Down. And our drummer, well our drummer is just technical.
