the way (might not be the only) to know thyself is to understand how the world/universe works. And the only method that has been found successful in TRYING to understand the universe is through the scientific method. not philosophy, not common sense, not religion.

Scientific method?? not philosophy, not common sense, not religion?

that is perhaps one of the greatest illusion the human mind made. you are merely reechoing that faults of the 19th century.

Yeah, relaying science is such a delay...

it never satisfactorily provide sane answers for a lot of questions as of now.

The scientific clan cannot even explain sanely their latest stint on quantum physics...lol

Extracted from the bible, shining with truth yet hidden from the eyes of the many.

-Know ye not that you are gods...
-for the kingdom of God is within you
-man was created in the image of God

Psa 82:5 They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.

Psa 82:6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

Psa 82:7 But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.

Psa 82:8 Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.

    Yes, shining truth hehehe...verbal irony

it is a shinning truth hidden from those who walk in Darkness because they refuse to see the Light.

and their end is tragic for they die like men not as Divine, Awakened.

Jesus also said...let not the light in you be darkness. You are the light of the world.

Jiddu Krishnamurti said...shine your light, not the ligt of Jesus or buddha or krisna but your own light.

Many people including me thought of this light as mere allegorical play but Clairvoyants and the Masters have attested to its fact literally that we truly are Beings of Light.

know ye not that you are gods.

before you talk about science, ithink its best if you first know what science does.
So what does science does? it explains the function of object.

If your an object, the the best way to understand yourself is through science. For those who do not consider themselves as object, then we could at least heave a sigh of relief that we are not objects.

sure science explains that this causes that. that when certain nerve fibers are vibrated, then certain brain waves can be registered. How does that explain who you are? that has been the great mistake during the 19th century, totalizing everything into Objects for science, you are unable to explain the reality of a human person by science, because man is able to go beyond that.

.. no offense the_child, but WHY DO YOU ALWAYS ANSWER A QUESTION WITH A QUESTION Why can't you just answer that question of grovestreet directly. That was an innocent question, if you really are knowledgable and really want to spread that knowledge of yours, then answer it. Stop talking in circles, coz really, you look stupid when you do that. I'm not the only one who notices that here...

.. suggestion: if someone asks you something, just answer it right away.
