If you have no reference pic, then I'm afraid it's not an impression, but more of an expression.

Here's an example of a proper impression session, for guidance:

REAL NAVY SEALS at Ramadi, Iraq

Now, here's an Impression of the same incident/situation (done by ASG-Cebu)

Detail is impeccable, down to the black strap for the Petzls My only complaint is that they're too clean

This is the proper way to stage an impression. Just an FYI.

NOTE: This doesn't mean that you have to have complete gear for the impression. I've seen people do impressions nga overkill ang gear, pero bati gihapon ang "feel", unya there were those with very minimal items (those that were crucial to the impression) and they really stood out.

So again, the important thing to remember in impression is the AMBIENCE and FEEL of your photos...if it doesn't remind a viewer/reader of the real deal, then it fails to impress in the mind that this scene is trying to emulate/imitate a real-life situation.

    Check your intel...

Danny Dietz, RIP 2005 (Operation Redwing)

Mike Murphy, RIP 2005 (Operation Redwing)

Mike and Axelson (RIP 2005 (operation redwing)

U.S. Navy SEAL Lt. Michael P. Murphy, from Patchogue, N.Y. , and Sonar Technician (Surface) 2nd Class Matthew G. Axelson (R), of Cupertino, California, are photographed in Afghanistan in this undated Navy file photograph. Both were assigned to SEAL Delivery Vehicle Team 1, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Murphy and Axelson were killed by enemy forces during a reconnaissance mission, Operation Red Wing, June 28, 2005. They were part of a four-man team tasked with finding a key Taliban leader in the mountainous terrain near Asadabad, Afghanistan, when they came under fire from a much larger enemy force with superior tactical position. U.S. President George W. Bush presented the Medal of Honor to Maureen Murphy, the mother of Navy Lt. Michael Murphy, at the White House in Washington, October 22, 2007.

    More Red Wing photos...

Any spec ops (incl. SF and Devgru) grow beards when in A'stan. James Suh (Asian Seal in the pic, also RIP 2005) is an exception, being asian his beard grew slowly)

And ALSO if you're referring to the guy in the old Choco-chip desert camouflage, that guy is NOT doing a SEAL impression, he's doing an Iraqi Special Forces impression...

The Iraqi SF assisted the SEALS during "Operation Kentucky Jumper" in Ramadi. Since he's supposed to be Iraqi, then naa dyud bungot. You can even see the real Iraqi SF operator in this photo, he's the guy on the left, in the background, in the same Choco-chip pattern desert bdu...
