Filipino - People. Example, "Mga Pilipino" means "Filipinos" in English or Internationally known for philippine nationals. The pre-1987 Philippine alphabet (Abakada)'s lack of the letter F had caused the letter F to be substituted with P. This is the reason, when the 28-letter modern Filipino alphabet has finally been made official in 1987, the name Filipino was preferred over Pilipino.

Filipino - National Language, a tagalog based.

Goodness, no need to be mean. What does having cable TV have anything to do with airing opinions on this thread? I read elaimakulai's post and it doesn't say nga "wala'y hinunggdan ang Philippine TV" to me. Chill lang pare.

We are wasting our time watching these teleseryes, reality shows, showbiz talk-shows, and dramas.

I don't know, I just thought about it.

What about these activities during night:
    - Studying/Planning Small Business
    - Monthly Budget computation
    - Future planning
    - Learning new skills
    - Sports
    - etc

Let's get rid of these programmes on TV. Let's boycott until they'll change the way they influence our lives.
EVERYBODY WANTS CHANGE, BUT NO ONE IS DOING THE CHANGE.,
if true pa ni, ang korea, taiwan, us og uban pang developed countries dili unta mo lambo. kinahanglan i balance gyud ang tanan. naay para education, naa pud para entertainment. boring au ang life if mag sige lang tag negosyo, learning new skills, ect.. ma workaholic or morag ma nerd atong nawng ana hehehe. duda ko aning ts kay membro nig networking kay mao man na ila sige ingon sa mga members, waste of time ra kuno nang tv time.

In regard to homegrown TV dramas I can only presume that the producers either live very sheltered lives or that they hate the poor because the stories always seem to revolve around some rich family with most of the scenes being filmed in their mansion house. Perhaps an honest drama with some basis in reality would go some way to helping our nation face up to real issues of everyday people?
