I know this term has been watered down lately with eye-liner bands with bangs.
most of what the masses call as emo today is actually just pop-punk(an exy***** term IMO). Some are just plain rock or glam or pop-punk who happens to have an eye liner and bangs and then media and masses will automatically call them emo...
But this year,l emo is back...
Sunny Day Real Estate and The Get Up Kids are reuniting.
Plus math rockers Roadside Monuments and Joe Christmas (the Death Cab For Cutie od the 90s) and Frodus (precursor to a lot of todays so-called emos) are getting some remastered treatment from Tooth and Nail...

Jeremy Enigk of Sunny Day Real Estate is still active as a christian solo artist along John Davis of Superdrag.
Superdrag is also back now. The original line-up. Medyo Biblical perspective na ila mga songs due to John Davis becoming a christian from being an atheist. pero ayos gihapon.
