i'm a newbie and i love harps. inspired ko G. Love & Special Sauce. Me a long-time fan.

nice to know you are into harmonica too, or specifically, blues harp.

nindot bitaw katong black snake moan... labi na ang soundtrack ug ang istorya (ehem!).

for starters, you may want to do the following:
1. immerse yourself in the Blues. listen to lots of blues stuff especially those with harps.
(muddy waters songs, little walter, junior wells, sonny boy williamson, etc.)
2. learn to play single notes - 1 note per hole.
3. learn to bend notes.
4. learn the pentatonic scales (search for jason ricci in youtube).

sa blues harp man gud, ang focus kay single-note playing. later, you can incorporate other stuffs (bending, vibrato, tongue-blocking, chords, etc.). ako hantud single note ug vibrato pa lang intawn.

daghan man tutorials sa youtube bro. look for kudzurunner, jason ricci, etc. mao na akong ma recommend.

also look for 'soulharper'

Just got the G. Love 'Lemonade' last week.
Naa sad ko 'Hustle', 'Cold Beverage' ug mga collaboration niya with Jack Johnson. He is good singer songwriter but not really that good Harp player. Mas maayo pa si Serpentboy ana!

thanks dude. practicing amazing grace now. hehe i think basic blow and draw lang sa for now. draw man nang suyop noh? hehe thanks for the suggested materials... @aquafire - yeah i guess G's not that good at harps but he's got damn good blues feel and fusion with hiphop and jazz and country and even reggae. be dustin' my blues then bruddas...

Naghimo ko'g makeshift capo para sa akong guitar unya pag tangtang nako nayabag man nuon. Bisan unsaon ug tono murang something's wrong maong wala na nuon ko ka record. I snapped the last string too. Very busy pud ko until 3rd week of October.
