To us a monkey-boy is used to describe someone that just hangs around, makes loud noises, and throws poo at everyone. Plus the member's (Malic) persistent devotion of Darwinian Theory (man's assenshion from ape) and his constant badgering on my being a creationist supporter, it just seem a joking play on words. I believe he was not offended and made the Darwin connection. It was ment as a privet joke between us, if he had responded negatively, on an earlier use, on one of his post; then I would have apologized and would have never used it again. I had told him he was "A Professional Monkey-boy" his response was. "he would ware it proudly." That is why it was our private joke. I have commented to him, "I am just a bug." Sorry if you misunderstood. Malic and I seem to respond head to head, but I like him, some day we both want to convert each-other. He wants me to be a Darwinian Muslim, and hope he will be a Creationist Christian.
I like thinking of it as the "Monkey-boy/Bug Wars".....

I would never use a racial comment to be hateful. I have been called a few names while on this forum but do not think any have been raciest or derogatory.

Thank you for the good advice, and I will not use the term again, not out of fear being banned but because it offends members. It is my desire to free exchange ideas, not hurt peoples feelings or be offensive.

That is sort of what this is to me, because I think of you as my Filipino community. I post here so I can learn. I can learn more from the English speaking members on the forum than my non-English speaking neighbors. I have almost lived in Surigao City now for a year now, and have a lot to learn, but I an a Kano that wants to learn.

Yes and I do not know how I got here. if you saw me 15 years ago you would not believe this is me either. I am a biologist and a botanist and if I were not and Atheist then I was surely a denier. When I worked at NASA I had fellow coworkers who began to challenge my belief system. They presented me with queries on subjects and theories that I was steadfast and doggedly supported. My college training and my field of study was under attack. They asked questions that I could not answer after years of independent study in some excellent research libraries, Museums, and fossil collections. I saw gaping holes and inconsistencies, Independent Biography reasearch on founding scientist in my field of study began to expose a systematic conspiracy and I was crushed. I had been applying charts, fables, doctored data, fake dates, and flawed fossil records to support a flawed concocted non-scientific theory. I was only helping to push an Atheistic lie to discredit the Bible. I picked the book up again a reread the work, and I have not been the same again. I quite NASA and started a business, and rededicated my life to my wife and son. I stopped practicing my field in Biology It is hard to do what you no longer accept.

The last 15 years have been a blast. I started concentrating on botany. Became a Horticulturist/ Agriculturist, Texas Master Gardener, Master Propagator, and Certified Texas Horticulturist and Commercial Landscape Contractor and never looked back. Strengthen my relationship with my wife, a 14 year old son, and a good nursery stock growery and garden retail center.

I have started to take the Bible literally but can look at it with the mind of science. I can see inside and outside the box at the same time. I can believe the events and accept time-lines. The book is not always meant to be taken literal the term 6 days can mean 6 complex steps. Common sense can be applied and not loose the meanings. I believe in the steps, and events, time-lines are just points for debates.

We have an expression in the US: "You can not see the forest for the trees" means if you just stare at the trees you will miss the whole of the forest. Concentrate on the forest it just contains a lot of trees.

good. it's quite surprising that a scientist close to being hardcore would see inconsistencies on different theories and actually stop inquiring. that doesn't make you a good scientist then james, now does it? a scientist constantly inquire to find answers, thus, filling the gap, even going as far as questioning the unknown using the scientific method.

question james: have you found what you've been looking for by reading the Bible? is your stance as a Creationist help you find answers as to the origin of the earth/universe?

james, can you explain John 2:1-11 scientifically? what about John 11:38-43? Exodus 14:21?
