There is very little weight difference between the 10.3" barrel of a CQBR and the standard 14.5" of the M4A1, especially when talking about AEG units. When you have a PEQ (and in AEG's, this is true when you're using the PEQ as a battery compartment), a Surefire FL and a foregrip on, the presence of those items on the rails have more influence on the final weight, rather than barrel length. The main advantage you get from both real steel and AEG M4-CQBR or MK18 is the maneuverability of having a shorter barrel, which is essential in MOUT/CQB or VBSS scenarios.

And there is no "bigger" M4 variant (save probably for the HK416 line, but then that too, is NOT an M4). M4's are carbines. If it has something longer than a 14.5" barrel, it's no longer an M4.

So what did you buy? hehehe...as i told you, heavy gyud, especially daghan na accessories ma butang nimo as what @rodsky posted... na experience man gud ni nako bro, daghan kaayo accessories, pag abot sa tournament murag wala kaayo na gamit ang accessories...nag bug-at bug-at lang gyud... ang important ra gyud para nako ang scope...mao rana, if ever na zero sad nimo...kung wala gani...aw iron sights nalan gyud...

what m4 series is it? is it the new version? if it is then no need to upgrade. just get a good battery. use a nicad or nimh(metal hydride). dont use li-poly.

to make sure, look at the gearbox and see if its black...mao ra gyud na madali nimo mahibaw-an if new version... ipa open lang nila ang receiver ika palit nimo,diha makita nimo ang gearbox, or even adto sa magwel - where we insert the magazine, makita ang gearbox didto, or sa dust cover kana ika pull nimo hammer(mao ba ni tawag ana?correct me if wrong). makita nimo gamay ang gearbox.
