A long time ago when I was a kid it was great the sun was not as hot it was not very polluted outside we played laughed and cried with friends shatong, bato lata, dakop dakop, pulis dungab, chinese garter these are the games we played half the kids now dont know what these are anymore. Life was simple back then you go to school then hangout after class with friends and play the times i had were great on a Saturday you wake up watch a lot of cartoons in the morning clutching your favorite toy as they race across the screen and into your heart after that you can go out and play on a great sunny day. It was way back in the 80s great music and TV shows can you imagine they would show ghostbusters on a prime time slot? these days they just put korean novelas there and dramas most tv series that the kids watch now are garbage I know spongebob is funny but would you really want your kids to act like that growing up? he would act like a retard. In our old times the toys were great they promote imagination and playfulness ever notice the resurgence of all the 80s franchise? ghostbusters, He-man, Transformers, GI JOE, Thundercats these are some of the greatest cartoons of all time and like many of the people born within the conception of these classics our lives have once again visited a very colorful past and we are very happy that the next generation can at least get a taste of the cool 80s. Point being that the heroes of the past were Doctors, Soldiers, mechanical specialist, Robots with the heart of gold these were some of the greatest role models a kid could have they tought us a lot especially don't use drugs! I dont think there will ever be a time were they would remake anything within this era with as great respect as when they remade these can you imagine how it was to Hear Peter Cullen as a kid in the 80s and now in the New movies as he once again voiced the legendary Optimus Prime? It was priceless now we have to accept that once the Renaissance is over our 80s history will be lost forever in time. At that time you can be the very definition of a child, correct me if I am wrong but is it not the universal definition of the world that a child is a fragile thing that plays with toys and has fun while being protected to become a good citizen in the future?
Fast forward some years later I am now getting married and I see the world differently its sad a very sad world we live in now porno is rampant I hear kids talking about as young as 7 so young the age is the innocence lost i think about how my child will grow up in a world like this so many bad influences just around the corner people now are more immoral than before everything is a mess the tv shows blood *** and violence its all there a very diff. thing that I had then. the pollution is a health hazard all the flu viruses going around the floods the extreme weather conditions. Who can they look up to now? I dont recommend leaving kids with shows on tv anymore especially with the brain dead games shows in the afternoon with scantily clad girls. And what the hell is up with the things being sold now? Slippers are now 1k a pair coffee for a hundred pesos? its disturbing me a lot frankly I think the people who spend on these things may have never had the chance to pay for his fathers coffin on his own like me it was expensive and at that time I was just starting out and I found out that even when your dead its still costly but for whatever my dad had given me when I was a kid I wanted to repay him he always wanted the best but with me it was 60k for his coffin and 40k for his burial that was all I could afford I have no relatives or at least I dont care for any of them I look out for my own family thats the harsh truth I found out because no one else would help me in my time of need. In my years I only had 2 starbucks cups and I gave one to my former girlfriend now wife because we were given coupons thats it some people drink it like its water these people never had it tough born with a silver spoon in there mouths its disgusting its like they are paying for an image or something and want to be cool what kind of a person thinks that if he buys expensive stupid things he becomes cool? I think its a product of a shallow mind and an empty head even the the squaters are getting in on the action its more rampant in manila though. I have to admit I paid for expensive things also 5k for a single toy but you know what? at the rate the price of these toys are increasing its even better than an interest in the bank and when I Die I will leave it to a son or daughter and whatever they want to do with it at least when it sells it will benefit them. I am also sad to see that toys now cost a lot some odd years ago it was not like this at all but I guess its unavoidable inflation will happen. But who cares about toys now? kids just play online games rotting there brains out trust me I was one of those kids and we of an older generation can tell you that you should not over do it because it leads to nothing do play but do not let it consume you. With this imagination was lost and kids will have to rely on pc's booze and cigarettes for a good time i just hate seeing highschool kids doing this they dont even have enough money to feed themselves let alone support a vice. I think about how the world has changed everyday and look back to the past and as the saying goes
