anybody heard or tried riding highland taxis? naa koy serious complaint about one of their drivers. here's what happened:

it was about a little close to 6pm kanina then i was at SM then my gf was at north reclamation. nagline ko para makasakay then naghuwat sad siya didto ug taxi bale ang sabot namo is kung kinsa ang makauna sakay, maghapitay na lang. because taas man kaayo ang pila sa SM then maglisod pud siya sakay sa recla dapit, nidecide na lang ko magjeep padung IT park then didto mokuha ug taxi. after a little while, nitext siya nga nakakuha na daw siya so nanaog na lang ko (nakasakay na ko ug 04L). she texted me nga sa sheraton ko dapit huwat but since naa ko dapit sa mabolo church, i told her back nga pwede didto lang sa pikas kay layo na kaayo ang sheraton then uwan pa kaayo. here's the fun begins. she later texted me nga di daw moagi ang driver sa SM kay traffic daw which actually is but sa atubangan lang meaning kung sa sheraton siya or sa pikas side (lbc side) moagi flowing ang traffic. since mas sigurado sa sheraton, i walked all the way there and told her sheraton na lang. moinsist gyud daw ang driver nga di gyud daw siya moagi ug SM, mabolo gyud daw siya (jones man mi after SM unta). and guess what, sa wireless sila niagi and the traffic was real bad. the question i had, mas sigurado man from jollibee recla going to sheraton kay (1st) di gyud na magtraffic diha then (2nd) mao man gyud na among agianan diha padung jones pirmi and (3rd) agion pa ko sa SM. what really pissed off was this. nakalimot ug on sa meter ang driver then nabantayan sa akong gf. she told him nga off iyang meter then ingon siya nga nalimtan daw. pag on niya, niingon siya nga additional P30 na lag daw. P30 for jollibee recla to wireless? WTF! klaro na kaayong modus. insistent kaayo ko nga paagi ko kay (1) sapot na ko, (2) i know something's not right (gayawyaw na sad akong gf, asa pa lang to niya dad-on), and (3) kuhaon nako ang plate number. naa na ko sa sheraton then guess what this driver said, sa andoks na lang daw kay di gyud siya moagi ug SM. so i walked back the full length of SM to get to andoks all soaking wet. init na kaayo akong ulo. pag abot nako i told him nga di gyud traffic didto dapita then niinsist pa gyud siya nga traffic daw. i told him that i saw the whole length of the road then di gyud traffic. nagkainitay na mi didto then ingon siya mangita na lang daw mi ug lain nga taxi. i told him ihatod na lang mi kay sakto man mi mobayad. di siya so nanaog mi and i told my gf not to pay kay wa mi naabot sa among destinasyon. nipugos ang driver nga bayaran to ang nipatak. gibayran na lang sa akong gf because nagkainitay na gyud. i got the plate number and the name of the taxi: HIGHLAND TAXI.

here's my complaints (maybe you could help me clear this out kay i will report/complain this to ltfrb this tuesday):

1.) nagbuot buot ug iya. pagsulti sa akong gf nga agion ko sa sm, nitubag ang driver nga "pasakyon na lang ko ug lain kay di siya moagi ug sm". kung mobalibad siya, diha unta sa wa pa nakasakay ang pasahero. though maski nihit ang taxi atong panahona, we will always prefer a courteous and honest driver. basin mohatag pa mi ug sobra kaysa patak sa meter (which i actually do kung buotan ang driver).

2.) overcharging. P30 from jollibee recla to wireless/LTO area? lols. i talked with my friend from LTO and he said nga mao kuno na ang style sa mga driver. palimot limot ug meter dayun mangayo ug additional. here's my POV on this. unta iyang singilon kay kadto lang nacover pag on niya sa meter or if mangayo siya ug additional, it's up to the passenger to give kung pila. di kay sila ang moset. P30 for that far? klaro na kaayo. kapila na ko nakasakay ug taxi nga makalimot or magpalimot limot lang but mohangyo ra man sila ug additional, i decide kung pila akong ihatag.

3.) gipabayad mi maski wa nakaabot sa destination. i know we made a slight mistake here by paying but as a driver he should know that (that if he's honest). i insisted of not paying but nibayad akong gf para mahilom na mi sa driver. jones among destination, sa mabolo mi nanaog. not even close.

4.) magpanaog ug pasahero nga wala pa sa destinasyon. i know nagkainitay na to but it's plain and simple, it's his job and we're paying him right. according to my friend, this alone is a solid ground for a complaint.

tama ba akong grounds? any additional inputs? or maybe wrong decisions that i have made? i will report this to ltfrb this coming tuesday. thanks a lot.

Taxi driver forgot to on his meter.. modos ni brod ako mag sakyanan man jud kog taxi going work, naa jud ni.. pwedi ni nimo e complain SOP nana nila.. this will also serve as an eye opener sa LTFRB na impose ug silot sa taxi driver for failing to on the meter.. wla pani cya..

Sa pagsakay sa imong gf their as an agreement so naay meeting of minds between the passenger and the driver.. kani you can use this to complain sa LTFRB.. sa balaod this will serve as a concrete evidence kaning meeting of minds!!!

Nya sa tan.aw nako wla man mo ni violate sa flag down rate.. ani man gud na once na mosakay ka ug taxi kina hanglan one destination ra gyud na if mo ingon kag padong kag jones so jones ra jud!! in your case nagpahapit ka which is agianan rana cya padong sa destination and that is ok.. so no need for the taxi driver to ask for another flag down rate ug mo balibad cya na dili namo e hatod..

bro mao ni imo e-complain sa LTFRB:
1. Driver failure to use his meter (include na ang imo GF moy naka bantay not the driver considering ila ni SOP)
2. Driver ask amount not based on the flag rate
3. Breach of contract (in this case their is a meeting of minds between driver and customer so consider nani cya as contract) you can check this sa atong balaod naa ni cya..

mao rani ako ma-i tampo sa imong problema.. hahay.. sunod mangolata na jud kog driver ani sa taxi..akong papa ka pila na.. matog nalng gud sa daan ang driver puno sa bun.og..

call sa attention sa operator bai.. ang operator.dispatcher nila ang mo disiplina sa ilang driver.. luoy pud ang operator ani if diretso dayon ka sa LTO.. walay kalibotan sa inyong away ang ilang operator.. better call the attention first sa operator aron mapalagpot nimo nang driver nga abusado.. NO NEED to raise to LTO.. basin maapil pud ka sa kadaghan sa bureucratic red tape unya.. (kbaw nka basta goberno dire..)

thanks for your inputs. regarding sa akong gihighlight, here are my POVs. we are aware nga if niagi siya sa SM dapit we could consider it as 2 na nga biyahe. we actually do that most of the time kay agion nako akong gf sahay. what we usually do is give the driver an additional P30 kay ikaduha na nga biyahe. what this driver did was ask for a P30 from north recla to wireless. it's too much for that distance covered. tig agian ko diha and such distance would only rate about P10-P15 the max.

sakto pud bai. when we talked with my friend from LTO nakamention jud siya nga lisod pud usahay palihokon ang gobyerno but we've got no other choice kay sila man ang governing body ani. but thanks for the idea, i'll grab some yellow pages and look for the number of Highland Taxi.
