Yesterday, American Idol unexpectedly announced that--after testing out a series of Paula Abdul replacements for its ninth season with guest judges like Katy Perry, Posh Spice, Mary J. Blige, Kristin Chenoweth, Shania Twain, and Neil Patrick Harris--the series has finally hired a new permanent fourth judge, comedienne and national treasure Ellen DeGeneres.

watched the et news last night abt ellen's announcement of her new idol stint and my reaction was, "it's abt time ui!" hehehe... I love her show and how she draws the crowd with her bubbly and real personality... this i gotta watch...

Ellen was funny when she was a guest judge at "So You Think You Can Dance"
Her famous comment to one contestant was "Are you a carpenter?.. Coz you nailed it!!"
Hmmm medyo korny toh, but definitely she'll bring lots of humor to the 'kinda boring' line of AI judges.
