i'm more at home with what miyay said something about the soul being not boxed in the body and all. she said something like the soul is only attached to the body but not in the body, or something like that. hehe. thanks, ms.charm.

i don't think so...
your soul is your mind, once the mind stops working. No more consciousness.
your first 4 words sir answers the fallacy of proving or disproving the exitence of the soul
its all about how we think
And whatever the content of our definition does not diminish or add to the souls existence, if the soul exist.
meaning whatever we can think of are words and not the "reality" or the "reality not" we are trying to describe![]()
no idea, sir. and i refuse to have my brain examined to be sure if it's true or not. and besides, if it's just misfired neurons, how can i sure that it triggered the "experience". it could be the other way around
i would have thought that based on your previous posts, you would be more open to other people's experiences. after all, the story of jesus is based on the bible and isn't the bible a recounting of experiences? and to think experiences way back 2,000 years ago. how do we really know those "claims" are true and not fiction? stretches the rational mind, doesn't it? we believe it through faith, do we not? in the same token, it may sound arrogant but i have faith in my experiences, more so than other people's, especially those living eons ago.
shakoy, the ego of pride is rising
bitaw, sir. please don't mind what i said. the truth is i can never be sure. i'm just sharing my views based on what i think i experienced. but it doesn't matter really. to each her own![]()
No I'm not trying to disprove your belief, but this is a forum, so in the spirit of the forum question are very natural. I don't know with other believer but my belief in God doesn't come from 'experience'; sense perception, that is why it is called belief or faith.
On the other hand you claimed to believe on what you 'experience', perhaps 'saw' your 'self' outside you physical self. I was just being curious (fingers crossed at my back hehehe) as to what makes you sure about it.
I am open really to other's belief, in fact you never find me arguing inside a thread that talks about things which is parallel to what you're 'experiencing'. None of my business...but this is a thread that talks about 'soul'. I believe each people will find it's own truth to which he/she can live there life on it...that's one purpose in life- find meanings which one can live on in this seemingly absurd world. But that doesn't mean we can't argue about it.hehehe...
God bless you Miss!![]()
