there's is no such thing as right religion for no one is righteous after all than Christ and the One that sent Him... that's my belief...
    the right religion is Christianity....
catholics, protestants, orthodox are just a part of christianity
yet so bad to know that most of this sects practice the wrong practices
    and preaches the wrong message...

there is no right and wrong religion for me. as long as wla ka magpasakit sa lain tao, wla ka mangyatak sa ila katungod and you treat them as equal as your own, doesnt really matter which religion you belong, as long as you practice humanity.

To look at the phenomenon of religion merely from the lens of some strain in Psychology, we totally ignore its other sides.

but anyways, if your idea is true, then it must follow that subliminal messages is not only emitted in religious structures but also other structures in society, other "ideological" apparatuses of the State, or other institutions of power: the jail, the asylum, etc...

ergo, following your idea, we will have to conclude that religion is merely one among many structures in society that goes hand-in-hand with other structures that creates power-relations, as you call, subliminal messaging. so at the end, it is not only religion that shapes its herd, but that is one among many structures that dominates human beings.

    cheers!

im not rejecting, as in totally eliminating the possibility of an independent FORCE aside from our own individual "powers" or capacity to manifest phenomenon,,in fact i would like to play on the idea that this "force" is in the here & now,,,& that we are (to most of us) unconscious partakers of the entire process. We may call it the big "elcetron" & faith may able to tap it so as to produce phenomenon...though im not a big fan of calling it god for the simple reason that this god of the christian has certain rules for phenomenon to take effect.

And based on experience we cause effect to healing w/o the auto suggestion of this conventional concept of god,,in other words whether one chooses to use god concept, medicine, alternative medicines, rational theraphy etc,,,the point of the matter is,,,auto suggestion plays a great role to cause phenomenon,,,whatever the structure of the "suggestion"

And yes its not only religion that shapes its herd,,,too so many structures w/ the same intent at its disposal,,the knowledge of how marvelous our minds can be,,,as to create miracles, disease, conflict, healing etc.,,& from there the selected few tyrant may create a religion or other structure to be worshiped, to be followed, to depend upon, by the rest of the herd...maybe to blind them from the truth that the power is with in.

and your implying God is just a pigment of our imagination?

i find life to be more interesting with a God done without one... nasaan ang challenge kung wala siya?

I said this before and I will say it again.
GOD is too big for one religion, GOD is even bigger than all the religions combined.
Therefore, you cannot put GOD in one religion and say it is the one true religion.
pwera nlng kng para ninyo ma measure ninyo ang ginoo, e sud ninyo sa osa ka religion.
