Because it's past the lunar "noontime" and the sun is over at the western limb, when LROC took the image. On landing day, the sun has to be toward the east, so that the LM commander can see the shadow of the spacecraft on the surface after P66, and manually maneuver the LM for the touchdown.

Non-believers will never believe. A live telecast on CNN will simply revive the studio-staged-landings hoax theory.

The only way to convince them would be to fly them to the moon and show them the lunar module descent stage and other implements left there. And even then, they'll simply say those were "planted".
