Nets Stymie Suns, Run Win Streak to Nine
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., March 27 (Ticker) -- If a win over the league-leading Detroit Pistons was a message, the New Jersey Nets made a resounding statement against the Phoenix Suns.
Nenad Krstic had 21 points and 10 rebounds as the Nets extended their winning streak to nine games with a dominating 110-72 victory over the Suns.
Coming off Sunday's win over the NBA's best team, the Nets (41-2completely overwhelmed the rested Suns (47-22), who have the league's fourth-best record.
By the fourth quarter, the Nets had starters Jason Kidd, Richard Jefferson and Vince Carter on the bench as they opened a commanding 83-45 lead. New Jersey led by as many as 43 points in the fourth quarter.

Shut Up! Let your GAME do the talking!
the Nets is on a 9 game winning streak which includes wins against Dallas, Detroit and the Suns.
Miami, Indiana and Detroit fans, this would be a concern.
Shut Up! Let your GAME do the talking!
west- spurs, mavs, nuggets, suns
east- pistons, heat, pacers
i dont think nets can pull a big one in the playoffs, maybe in the first round, but definitely not in the second round
miami defeats indiana... a very tough & physical game, though.
the miami is now at 2 winning streak, they need this win to gain more confidence in the playoffs.
Looks like the season maybe over for Amare. Di gyud lalim ang microfracture surgery sa tuhod.

No Stoudemire means no title
By Scott Bordow, Tribune Columnist
It seemed too good to be true. It was. Amaré Stoudemire will miss the rest of the Suns’ road trip, possibly the rest of the season, and just like that, an NBA championship is about to slip through Phoenix’s hands again.
What a shame.
There will be, from some corners, an immediate and thorough flogging of the Suns. How could they risk Stoudemire’s future by playing him when he wasn’t healthy?
Answer: They didn’t. First of all, Stoudemire’s left knee was pronounced structurally sound in the most recent MRI the team took. Second, the Suns let Stoudemire decide when he would return. Some team officials, in fact, thought Stoudemire could have played earlier than last week, but they weren’t about to bite the hand that’s going to feed them the next 10 years or so. Had Stoudemire insisted on sitting out the season, the Suns would have gritted their teeth — and muttered privately — but backed their superstar. What it comes down to is this: Unless Stoudemire reinjured the knee by playing the last three games — and there’s no indication he did — little harm has been done.
Stoudemire took a shot, it didn’t work, and now the Suns might have to wait until October to see No. 32 in uniform again.
Perhaps we should have seen this coming. Basketball players don’t fully recover from microfracture surgery in just six months, particularly those who play above the rim, as Stoudemire does.
