I think its not right to condemn people simply because they don't have religious affiliation. But once people embark on peddling their ideas or belief its fair game to be condemn by others in the court room of logic.

    Do we really need religion?

Well, as much as we would like to oppose to have religion in our society, somehow majority of us want to have it. IMO, religion is one of the greatest barriers in human race. It’s painstakingly separated us from different races [aka racism, discrimination]. Religion has span years of separating beliefs, ideals and intellect. So, why do we really need religion? Not really, unless you want to be in a social group that hatred or intolerance of another race or other races is part of the system. Otherwise, there are good terms that religion has its own values.

May I share this with you:
    Morality Without Religion
based on that argument, MORALITY after all is BIOLOGICAL and not religious. we cannot say that GOD gave us our senses of what is good or bad, therefore, we cannot say GOD is good. hence, you are probably right, that morality is instinctive, but that is just one part of the whole morality picture. the morality i was trying to present is, the determination of our senses to choose what is right and wrong.

what differs humans from animals is our ability to make love instead of war.

there will always be morals in conciousness and not in superstition.

What Marc Hauser missed is that there is only one brain. Those experiment he did is purely source of expectations from a standpoint of a certain subject [human subject] or observations. IMO, moral values are learned you can teach a young boy to become a killer and completely exclude or disregard moral values than those who learned.

During his 1991 tenure as an associate of Behavioral and Brain Sciences, he had so many theories that his subjects are Apes and other animals that are close to human behavior. His post theories were still unanswered although that depends on how one person's perspective. Sa ako lang nabasahan...

Somewhere sometime, somebody wrote this interesting idea regarding religion=

its not enough that freedom of religion should be practised....one has also the choice to be free from religion,,,,& govern his life using his intelligence, respect & justice for all.
