We need religion but not to the point where we replace faith with man-made rules and schemes. What I have always believed in (and what my religion has always pointed out) is Religion will not save anyone or assure someone of a lifetime which is problem-free. I go to church every Sunday because I want to worship God with fellow believers. Klase2x pud ning mga tawhana ang naa sa amo simbahan. Going to church and fellowship with them reminds me that despite each of our shortcomings in this life, we are still hopeful of a future life with God.

it doesn't necessarily have to be that way, does it? not everybody has FAITH on the supernatural. hence, he depends solely on man-made rules. it does not, in any way, disregard morality. morality is also man-made. our parents and/or education taught us what is good and bad.

what does being saved necessarily mean, is there a heaven and hell inthe first flace. U can still hope for a better future, as long as u are positive.

then you do not need a religion anymore.

Religion is just a badge, a symbol, or a group that gives you a sense of belonging.
If you put religion as center of your life--your life sooner or later will become imbalanced.
What you need is principles.
The right principles.
This is what gives your life balance--and not religion.

Chad I think I have to disagree with this (bold letters), Marc Hauser of Harvard Cognitive Evolution Laboratory performed an experiment that showed humans have a moral brain- what is good and what is evil is instinctive.
