wow, we have the same situation. this is so tough. actually, it's a combination of both. if we decide to stay in the relationship because we love the person so much despite all the lies, the whole world will call us fools or martyrs, but what the heck? if we feel that the person we're with and fighting for is worth it, we stick to that person come hell or high water, right?

about tolerating lies... it's not that i tolerate his lies. i actually despise his lies. once confronted, he'll lie all the more, so why bother? seriously, i also got fed up. he gave up on the relationship and so i did, but even though we let fate took it's course while we were apart, fate still brought us back together. now, we're back together.

the point is, when we love someone, we take a tremendous amount of risk. there's a big chance that our partners would lie to us, but that's part of loving. challenges take many forms and that's just one of those. when we love, we accept everything about our partners even all their lies and all the pain they caused us in the hope that they would really change for the better. that's where faith and prayers come into play. we just have to keep on believing and trusting that person because of love.
