im wondering asa ta maka pa calibrate ug lens/body. if there is any. im trying not to send it to manila as much as possible, kai wa lang, i feel dugay kaayu cya mabalik.

akong lens dili na mu focus on my wide end using autofocus. i can only lock focus when i zoom in to my targeted focus, engage autofocus then recompose. i know dili ni cya ingon ani before gud until i dropped my camera and lens one time. lens facing down, mga half meter katas-on on a tiled floor. lens is 24-70 2.8. and i think i need to get this checked na gyud.

im wondering if naay maka ayo ani. i went up canon mabolo 3 months ago but ingon sila nga naana daw silay machine diri para mu calibrate but walay pay authorized personnel to operate it. so they would still send it to manila if i'd decide to give it to them. im not sure if nana ba silay taw who can do it now, but i also like to know other options if there is any. =)

naay na sila'y machine nga maka calibrate yet wala authorized personel to operate it and ila pa padala manila imo unit? wow! i wonder how they can come with with these kind of nonsense...imagine naa ang machine yet walaý mu operate. I mean what's the sense of having the machine?

by the way, u mean di siya ka focus if naka wide or pina ka shortest focal lenght siya?
try daw bro check the contact points sa imo lens. try ang clean it. its worth the try who knows mao ra na. kay naka try nako ug dili mu autofocus gyud pero ang contact points ra diay naa debris. though wala ma tagak ako lens.

try daw balik sa Canon... Basin nana silay tao nga kabaw mu gamit.. hehe! if wala gani, ingna nga mubasa ka sa sa manual sa machine para ikaw mucalibrate. haha! jok.. bitaw, try lang daw.. and depending on your body pwede ra pud ikaw magcorrect sa miscalibrations.

fritzd - will try calling them ug ok naba. i hate sending it to manila gud. its my most beat up lens or rather most used. so nahan ko nga mas duol cya ayuhon. i cant do it in-body. im using a 5d. wala pani cyay microadjustment feature. thanks thanks.

yup yup. i can only focus, or lock a focused frame where i want it but i have to zoom it, then recompose. otherwise, i use manual focus through the viewfinder or manual focus using the meter/feet distance if i shoot in a different vantage point. but thats a hit or miss situation. and i hate manual focus. this used to be a very sharp lens.

contact points is ruled out. tried cleaning them already.

go to photoshop or gizmo where most photographers converge, also check out their items. chances are u can bump into someone having expirienced your kind of problem.
I once went to photoshop last year's summer having some minor problems with my unit, just some debris trapped inside the focusing screen, and some guy offered me to clean it up for me since I was still scared of doing the job myself at that time.

my point is there are lots of other people more than willing enough to help you out in any way they can
and all you need is ask.

photoshop is at baseline
and gizmo at 3rd level ElizabethMall or popularly known as EMall
check out their items as well..its way cheaper than of the malls
