Thanks Pien for taking notice of my inquiry. First of all I have no intention whatsover except as a fellow who believes in Christ, troubled by the way you rebuke your fellow believers in Christ. So let this be just an inquiry to a brother, with hope that it will glorify our Lord's name.
The verse does not explicitly teaches us to call our fellow Christians as 'fools'. This does not constitute as a command, an authoritative direction or instruction from our Lord and the fathers of the faith what to do to our fellow Christian in such case.
Give me something that will not leave anything to further implication.
Peace unto you...![]()
Be Angry, But Don't Sin, Ephesians 4:26 & 31
this might help sometimes...
pangutan a lagi sa St. Paul bro...ngano mang gitawag man ni St. Paul ang taga Galatians ug mga "foolish" nga kaning iyang giingnan fellow Christians man pud ni?
sa bible bro, naa juy rebuke bro...
Tit 1:13 This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;
how about that bro? isnt that a command?
God bless you too...![]()
Bro. Kebz I have no problem with the way you deal with 'em atheist et al..(I think they deserved you). But our manner towards our fellow Christian is one thing we should aught to watch.
If you have notice I rarely joined in the fray when theirs a consensus to bash you around because of your dogged insistence (not only you).
It's okay, I understand what you are trying to point out, since it is also my view that people who don't believe in God is exactly as such fools - their faith is foolishness not their person; they believe they are just mud.
God bless Kebz..(continue with the crusade, I think you add spice to the forum)
Yes, it is evident that Paul did call some as such, but then again Paul has the higher authority by virtue of his being an immediate disciple to Christ, while we on the other hand is just scratching on the surface of Paul's actions.
It's like saying God's command to kill is not immoral since God is beyond morality. Maybe this is too lame analogy.
Here's another, in the Bible we read how the Chosen people of God kill wantonly with those who do not believe in Abraham's God. Base on that situation it is right to kill other people who do not believe in Christ?
Tit. 1:13 of course instruct us to rebuke sharply, but wisely and rightfully as fit to what it is to be Christian. Sharply does not clearly states that it means you call your fellow Christian fools or judge them as such.
Could it be that sharply means simply to be frank to our fellow members in Christ and not hold ourselves when reproach is coming just because maybe the person has put a lot of donations into our church's good cause?
Once again Brother Pien you failed to give me an explicit command that we aught to call our fellow Christian 'fools' if they don't subscribed to our interpretation of the Bible.
I'll give you once last chance to prove it and afterwards I'll give you one verse to end this inquiry.
Peace be unto you..![]()

if we follow the correct exegesis,Romans 1:22, is a bullet designed for idolaters and not as implied by the guy who post this verse.Romans 1:22
Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools
--- you see brad, the topic is all about them... because we believe on something that don't make sense to them... so to summarize
"They are WISE, and we are DUMB", you may not realize it brad, but they are using science as a tool against our faith because science is a pillar of knowledge where everyone should accept. Im not against science im against the LIES in science.
2 Peter 2:3
In their greed these teachers will exploit you with STORIES they have MADE UP. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.
2 Peter if understood correctly has an exclusive tone in its application. Depends on what denomination you belong in, to them anyone outside is considered a false teachers.
if this verse is in the hands of the ADD's everything outside is considered an apostate. If this verse is used by the born-again movement any sect is labeled as propagators of false teachings.
Nothing personal just sharing my observation.
