sometimes if i do this, i feel.... guilty?

i used Photoshop to change the levels, (ie saturation, sharpness, etc).. that's it..
    so is this cheating??
i only have a P&S cam, and ofcourse it limits the output...
an example of cheating would be to cut and paste an additional image while a little enhancement is not in the digital world ( if it is then its a lesser evil). In contrast to the times that films were used wherein discipline, patience and true skill honed by years of experience to take such a so called "perfect shot" (depends on the eye of the beholder) are needed then an edited picture is considered cheating... my 2 cents worth

    image manipulation is not cheating.
if you post process it doesn't make you any less a photographer.
naa lang gyud uban nahan direct from camera. kai mas nindot daw. ila sab na. ironic lang cause all pro photographers post process their work to make them perfect.

example: you took a landscape shot but you feel that a little cloud in a certain area would make the shot perfect so you do it and your client is so happy about it. is that cheating?

You took a perspective shot of a bed of flowers and you wanted to adjust the perspective to make it more dramatic, is that cheating?

Now consider this, you're a pro photographer and you went to some distant set and shoot. You got everything perfect except one - your photo shows some hideous object in the background and you decide to remove that object using photoshop, is that cheating?

    I don't think so.

IMHO true photographers do what they can to make their shots perfect and that includes post processing them. To say PS is cheating doesn't really make sense.

Additionally saying bahala na bati sa photoshop na daogon wala nay basis. Cause if bati ang editon bati ang resulta. Di gyud na mo nindot.
