The lowering of the NSAT passing rate is just plainly lowering the standards. That's it. How does it improve our education standards in any way?
One studies to learn. If you get to learn by not studying, then so be it. But you need to explain to potential employers/managers why your instructor, of all people, thought you haven't learned enough before and thus failed you. Don't get me wrong. I know people who messed up during their college days and were really productive people. But I also have experience with people who messed up during their college days and continue to be messed up when you hire them. Unfortunately, there's more of the latter. And we don't need to create more alibis for our pathetic educational standards.
