Benq 1620
well its simple I use DVD-R, generic. then set it to DVD-ROM. Walay may blema.
i don't think so. i've also used a BenQ 1620 and 1640 and it doesn't do bitsetting for DVD-R. if you're using Nero, for example, setting it to DVD-ROM has no effect for DVD-R, only for DVD+R. like i said before, DVD-R booktype is already pre-written so you can hardly change it when burning. check your media again after burning using Nero CD/DVD Speed and you'd get something like this:
Code:Nero CD-DVD Speed: Disc Info Basic Information Disc Type: : DVD-R Book Type : DVD-R
Mao DVD-R ra diay ang maset sa DVD-R. Even I set nimo to DVD-ROM pag burn.
I thought my DVD-R was in DVD-ROM cause compatible mangud cya sa most DVD-Players and I set it to DVD-ROM when burning.

theres no difference between the two, just the disk format (-R +R). as the dvd players and other media, if it supports it maka ra na. unless your using really cheap and crappy generic dvds, bisan unsa pana nga format chances are ma daot dyud na or naa problema.
