gamit kuno mo Save More nga brown sugar mga sirs... kanang sa SM nga brown sugar ba. then make sure dili hupas inyong active dry yeast.

A quick background of our exhibitor, planted tank guru, Mr. Joey Gatus aka Zen Aquatics.

He hails from Cagayan de Oro. Stayed here in Cebu for work reasons and now weekdays at Leyte and weekends here in Cebu. He is the ONLY Filipino planted tank enthusiasts that joined INTERNATIONAL prestigious competitions like AGA (Aquatic Gardeners Association) and ADA (Aqua Design Amano) International Aquatic Plant Layout Contest. Twice on ADA and first two entries on last years AGA.

KOI's CO2 DIY RECIPE:

You need:

- 1/2 kilo brown sugar (preferably Panda Brand or Save More)
- tap water about 600mL
- active dry yeast (from a store at SM, Caro and Marie ?? not sure)
- Empty 1.5L bottle (Coke, Sprite, Pepsi bottles)
- funnel

Procedure:

- Dissolve the sugar unto the tap water, use the funnel to put it into the 1.5L bottle.
- Shake vigorously until all the sugar has melted.
- melt 1/2 teaspoon of active dry yeast unto a tablespoon of water.
- put the dissolved yeast into the 1.5L bottle.
- wait for 2-3 hrs, CO2 production should start.
