    People, its not malware. Not everything is malware!
    Its the codec which cause the problem, this is well known.

    There are a couple of programs which install this codec:

    K-Lite Mega Codec Pack v4.3.4
    Nokia PC Suite v7.1.18.0

    and other...

    i have nokia pc suite but it's version 7.1.30.9
    do you think this is the cause?

    Nokia PC Suite was the cause many times in the past (as reported by user with the same issues).
    You could try to uninstall it, and if it does not solve the problem, reinstall the latest Nokia PC Suite (you should do that anyway).

    Just download the Klite Codec Pack.

    Download K-Lite Codec Pack 5.05 (Full) - FileHippo.com

    This is what I do since win98, if problem persist then do this, open windows explorer, click tools, folder options, click file types tab, locate the file extension that causes that problem. example .mpg, .avi, etc. and delete. Click Ok and your done.

    i did a full scan for virus and malware and didn't find any...
    so i did what you suggested and uninstalled Nokia PC Suite... then viola, the problem was gone.
    thanks a lot bro!
    who would've thought that a program like Nokia PC Suite caused such a hassle.
