    Default Rich fuel mixture (burning more fuel than normal)


    kabantay lang ko nga mag andar ako sakyanan, isog kau ang baho murg sunog sa gasolina bisan walay aso . usahay maka bantay ko nga murg ang baho musulod pd sa awto. i need help unsay angay tanawn ani para naa pd ko idea when i bring this to a mechanic. kabantay pud sad ko nga grabe jud consumo ug gasolina ako sakyanan. ang 500 nga gasolina 2 or 3 days ra plying the guadalupe - banilad - guadalupe route unya without aircon na cya. my car is a mitsu lancer 91 gti singkit unya EFI ang makina. ive heard some owners of this same model nga 1:10km ila fuel consumption. worried kau ko aning problemaa kay dili lalim magpa gasolina unya gi sayang lang ug sunog sa makina. newly top overhauled pd ni cya pero kabantay lang ko naa ug isog jud ang baho sa sakyanan bisan walay makita aso. other forums nag ingun something about computer2 pero no idea jud ko ani.

    need your expertise guys. thanks in advance.

    unsa engine oil imo gamit sir? nka pa tune up ka?

    i think its motul sir (wasnt able to ask this when i had changed oil. grrr!) yup gikan na tune up ang sakyanan nya pag human wala na dala sa tune up mao gi top overhaul na.

    try cleaning ur air filters and spark plugs og ipa check ang timing dapat naa jud cya sa sakto timing and electrode gap sa spark plug

    Since your car is an EFI you might want to check your O2 sensor (sa exhaust manifold ni naka ta-od). If guba ni cya you will experience the same symptoms nga rich kaau ang dagan unya kalas kaau gasolina because your ECU will not be able to "detect" if you are running rich or lean... so by default, the ECU runs the engine a bit rich since this is safer than running it lean. It might also take a few kms before the check engine light warns you about the damaged sensor.

    Replacement O2 sensors can be bought around 4.5k-5k.

    grabe ka mahal aning O2 sensors. casa price na sir or surplus? by the way send ko pm nmu about tweaking. hope ma enlighten ko nmu sir.

    unsaun pag check sa O2 sensor sir kung dautan naba? unsay hitsura niya? asa pd ni dapit ang exhuast manifold? grabe ko ka newbie basta car engines jud.

    Mostly EFI local cars here in the philippines doesn't have oxygen sensor "O2 sensor".
