if ure going to do RAID with expensive HDD's, it would lose its very purpose of creating redundant system from INEXPENSIVE drives. u go RAID when u host a lot of critical data that needs redundant saving so that when one fails, u wont end up committing suicide. with critical data, ok ra bahalag mahalun nga drives kay naa man gyud purpose..

RAID has been reinvented recently as Redundant Array of Independent Disks. some people are just too anal about the word "INEXPENSIVE" and believe that using expensive disks would defeat the purpose of RAID. theyre totally missing the point %-)
anyway, RAID0 looks good on paper. if i have 2xraptorx drives i'd definitely give RAID0 a spin just to prove to myself nga nindot ang RAID0 scaling.

Just wanna ask, do i have to have two identical i mean same brand and same capacity/rpm hdds to make raid? i always wanted to do raid but i have no time and i guess its just nothin. lastly doin raid does affect Windows 7/Vista WEI HDD score right? TiA.
