I do hope they recover the black boxes so we'll know. The French are world leaders in deep-water submersible technology.
The Airbus has been getting a bad rap lately. Last December there was the Qantas A330 that deviated from controlled flight due to ADIRU errors that made the aircraft think it was stalling. The Airbus envelope protection system, as it was designed to do, averted the impending stall by pushing the plane's nose down. Unfortunately, the aircraft was nowhere near stall. It was in fact in normal cruise flight. Passengers and crew who weren't strapped in were thrown about the cabin.
What triggered the ADIRU fault has yet to be explained. There is speculation of emissions coming from a nearby Australian naval communications facility, or of personal electronic devices, triggering the fault, but I doubt they'll ever be proven.
daku man sab kaayo ning eroplanoha gud jumbo size mao sigurong maglisug og maniobra ang pilot ani og lain ang panahon.
