"destroying" it would be a wrong approach. it won't work. nurturing it is akin to indulging in it. and that is more dangerous. for me, it would be more prudent to reflect first if this the real Me or my Higher Self wanting it, or just one of lower self's materialistic cravings. again, the choice is ours. again, the ego is not meant to be destroyed, but maybe transcended.
