But this well certainly implies that God contradicts himself, the other camp will now consequently throw back whether there is any sense at all in believing in a self contradicting God such as the one you are implying?

For example in situation regarding having more than wives which from your post implies that God allows people in the past to have as many wife as they want and later on God change his mind and retracts that rule in favor of monogamy. If this is the case then it seems we have a contradiction and also this paint a picture of a god having a changing idea of what morality is.

Its hard to discuss all the accusation listed brad, but let me explain your first allegation.

1. God is satisfied with his works
Gen 1:31

Gen 6:6

Gen 1:31 ---- talks about CREATION
God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning--the sixth day.


Gen 6:6 ----- talks about WICKEDNESS OF MAN
The LORD saw how great man's wickedness on the earth had become, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time.

the phrases above are just an example of translation confusion, even so if you read the thought its so obvious they do not pertain to the same THOUGHT. My advise to you brad is that because of this false allegation you gave yourself a reason to avoid God. Its not my business but its FALSE INFORMATION, so ill stick on correcting the INFORMATION.

Sorry brad, whatever his intention is beyond my comprehension... ask him yourself... but as far as bible is concerned. He said "heaven and earth will pass away but his word will not pass away"... so that will remain to be seen. Not all the prophecy are full filled though. Just keep your eyes open brad.
