Default LTFRB and their new policy

what do you think about this.

Just recently, I had the pleasure of talking to one of the taxi drivers that drove me home. I noticed he had a mini printer in his cab so out of curiosity, I asked him what it was for. He told me that LTFRB had another memo that requires every cab to issue receipts. That explained why he had a mini printer in his cab which was connected to the meter. Nifty little thing costs 10k according to the driver, who said that he had to save up for, because issuing receipts manually took time (for both passengers and the drivers who stop on the no stopping zone).

I further inquired where they got those printers and he only said, from one company which is accredited by LTFRB. Titan. Whats worst is that, they can actually get these printers somewhere else at a much lower price and have the same effect of printing the receipt, but according to LTFRB it has to come from Titan.

You smell something fishy in this scheme?
