in PAF there is what they called 3.1 ratio (2 flying and 1 for spare/backup/reserve/or whatever they will call it) if you have 6 AH that would not be enough to cover Luzon Visayas Mindanao... it's not just the mindanao who needed it the whole island, 1 cobra is worth two MD530, nindot ang cobra but it's not enough to cover the whole country...

cobra is ok but expensive i would rather go for 530 pero kung 12 cobra ang kuhaon.... well i strongly support it....

ok with regards to buying mg-530 an upgrade of mg-520 of which we have currently or buying cobra attach hili,,mas maayo cguro kung cobra nalang ang ila paliton.mas powerful cya kay sa MG in all aspect..6 cobra would be deploy in mindanao and those 12 mg-520 would be deploy in luzon ang visayas dba pwde,dili lang ta mostick sa kung asa ta maka take advantage in terms of numbers but ato sad tanawon ang advantage in terms of fire power and the modern avionics with cobra..

you forgot the 3.1 ratio... keep the 2 flying the other is spare and reserve......
so if we have 6 that would be 4 operational and 2 spare.... and they can't allocate all the asset on one area... AFAIK... there are other suggestion like tying one cobra per division or brigades.....

it's not just mindanao had insurgency problem.... what about cebu?, negros?, luzon? there are still ISO in this area.... and this bird are badly needed here also....

cobra is good but not enough.... still it is on PAF-BAC to decide which is which....
