u don't need to become one para ma feel nimo ang ka-lalim.

i say you inculcate values and sense of responsibility into the younger generation and not taint their minds with this political thing/write-up, only then you'll see prosperity.

kung cge gihapon ta ug talk aning past (nth power), wla jud tay mahimo.
better do your job well done. hihihi.

for me, she is the best president in the history of ph

kadugay ba mamatay anang cory oi. (just an opinion)
    tuo sab bai...

my opinions is just basing on what was reported and what i believe.

daghan nabuhat nga maka benefit ang taw, pero daghan man sab na bulsa.

in my opinion also, kung nag suffer na si cory og maau, mas maau pa jud tuod nga mo pahoway na lng siya.

    Comparison?

The economy during Cory's time pales in comparison compare to that of GMA.

I'm starting to believe that Cory is getting way too overrated.

you mean the number of unemployed? the percentage of the poor people? the number of people who have to go abraod to feed their children? the number of fathers who sacrifice their life in afghanistan just to work?

    Cory Aquino

    GDP Growth Rate:
    3.33 % (1986-91 average)

Peso - US $ Exchange Rate:

    Php 20.38 (1986)
    Php 27.61 (1991)

[ Has anyone noticed even when Cory has already her butt firm in Malacanang, the peso is still sagging. GMA do it the other way ]

    Total Exports:
    Php 160,571 million (1986)
    Php 231,515 million, (1991)

Source: National Statistical Coordination Board, National Accounts of the Philippines; National Statistics Office, Philippine Statistical Yearbook (various years) - monetary values are in 1985 constant prices, except for total exports which are in current prices

    Gloria Macapagal Arroyo

There are so many but here are some of GMA's:

    Gross Domestic
Product (GDP) grew by 7.2%, the highest since the 8.8% in 1976.
    With
the Net Factor Income from Abroad (NFIA) expanding by 16.5%, the
Gross National Product (GNP) grew by 8.0%, stronger than the 6.1% in
2006. In the first quarter of 2008, although GDP growth slowed down to
5.2% compared to the 7% GDP growth during the same quarter in 2007,
we still consider this significant, noting the global increase in inflation
and the economic slowdown in the Philippines’ major export markets.
Meanwhile, the robust gains of 30.3% in NFIA pushed GNP to grow by
7.3% in the first quarter of this year.

    Jobs
a total of 9.78 million jobs were already generated from 2004 to June
2008, 163% of the six million minimum target and 97.8% of the 10
    million high-end target
    ,
by tripling loans to micro, small and medium
    enterprises, developing two million hectares of land for agribusiness and;
developing key industries such as housing, tourism, mining and ICT.

    GDP Growth Rate:

    3.45 % (2001-02 average)
[higher than Cory's overall GDP growth, what more if the 2003 to 2010 is mentioned.]
    Total Exports:
    65,201 million US $ (‘01) x 50= P 3.26050 billion
    70,635 million US $ (‘02) X 50= P 3.530750 billion

    Income Per Capita:
    Php 12,675 (2001)
    Php 13,175 (2002)

notice above: information is lacking regarding 2003 to 2009 for as this moment, let's wait for the final reports once she finished her term.

The Philippine Presidency Project [really lacking details]

you mean the number of unemployed?
Boo hoo, you mean the global recession that caused slight unemployment was caused by GMA?

the percentage of the poor people?
And does the previous administrations able to solve the problem? Guess not

There are still poor but not as grievous compared to the Erap administration.

the number of people who have to go abraod to feed their children? the number of fathers who sacrifice their life in afghanistan just to work?
Bah, just live every OFW in any previous administration. It's their choice and freewill if they want to gamble their lives just to seek greener pastures.

I will just not quote you line by line, but will reply at your specific points.

    EXCHANGE RATE
i don't care less about exchange rate as to our way of living here... i'm spending peso. My care is can i buy more of my peso now?

    GDP
wow nice figures... but does the number of our poor people deminish or it worsens?

    Jobs
unemployment problem is there way before the global financial crisis. you are right... people leave for greener pastures, why is that? because in our own country it is no longer green anymore? I thought we have great economy under her watch.

i can watch all this figures, but i was wondering why the wealth gap is still so wide? i'm not in denial here or i am clueless.

I just can see the realities of my surrounding.

during cory's time most of the filipinos are full of hope, democracy was restored, a sign of that hope is that fvr was able to label the philippines as new tiger economy of asia. but after erap, hope was again lost.
