I. have. no. idea. how. to. start. this. MADNESS. Be forewarned though that i will most definitely be yakking about our dear boy Anooooopppp, the show itself, the other idols and then some.
So we left the house 5pm on the dot, usually it takes us an hour and a half to drive all the way there (Ontario Mills, Ontario Airport), we got there 6:05pm. Damn we're too early. Mind you, it's a friday and wahey no heavy traffic? First thing i saw that gave me the chills, the buses! They're parked near the backstage gate where I would have dizzying spells from hunger later on in the night. As for scalpers, (you see i was considering buying "nearer the stage tickets" when i get there), i only saw one! and he was outside the arena, on a corner of an intersection where you can't stop your car 'cause people would be honking behind you, cautiously waving his tickets whenever a car passes by him. Anyway, either that or i'm just too excited to enter the arena, hindi na ko naghanap pa ng iba. Gates were already open when we got there, decent place, chaos inside. Young, old, super old, you name it. Stalls selling AI stuff, quickly forming lines. I got my AI book easy, bought it from one of those mobile goodies guy. I tweeted. This side of the arena, texts/tweets goes through easy but wait 'til i tell you later. 6:30pm we're seated. and we wait. The screens showed music vids of past idols. still waiting. idol tour advertisement shown, screams for Adam...and Kris? can't really tell the screams apart. 6:49 we wait some more. bunch of empty blue seats, where the heck is everybody? (they were in Staples watching Archie, read that this AM). 7:00pm showtime!!! NOT. 'ere we go, ford fusion contest, win backstage passes. Text Fusion to 66937. Fusion. Reply Y via Mozes. Y. Frakkin' mozes didn't texted back after that. Atleast mine went through, the lady sitting beside me has verizon it won't even make her send Fusion. You guys, tweeting/texting inside the arena, or atleast where i'm seated was freakin' impossible!!! You have no idea how difficult it was to send those tweets!!! I had to wave my CP like My antenna signal would go from 4 bars to nada! Nobela na 'toh di pa nagsisimula yung show!
Sa wakas, 15mins past 7. MICHAEL. 2 songs, short and sweet. Why does he have to sing another Neyo song? Next, MEGAN. megan, my dear, megan, i don't see her anywhere near a crowd like this post-tour. her voice and style is suited to a more intimate venue. one w/c only die-hards would care to see. SCOTT. hallelujah. i'm not a fan off-tour but man, his voice is just amazing. and the high-five's were funny. Scott's voice over Matt's anytime. Next up, Lil. OH MY GOD! SI LIL NA!!!! AAAAAHHHHHHHH!!! Di naman ako mashadong excited noh? I liked Lil's set prolly because i knew the songs. She started w/ "Be Without You". HELLO? Kinanta ni Anoop yan! thus, my excitement. Thanks to the uploaded vids in youtube, i knew what's next. Single Ladies. OMG! the agony of waiting... bakit ang haba ng kantang 'toh!!! Next, next, next na! Number 6!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! ANOOOOOOOPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! ! As far as I know, 'twas only me and my sister (prodded by me) who screamed when he came on stage. To our left were Matt fans, why i knew? glittery poster w/ Matt's name! LOL. To my right, in front of us, behind us, the people on the floor and the lower levels, GLAMBERTS! Ontario, Cali is all about Adam, ladies and gentlemen (kung meron mang lurker). And i don't blame them. Let's get back to the real reason why I was there in the first place. Anoop, our love. AOMM, wow. he sounds like wow. I was busy trying to send that tweet re: I'm dying and trying to record the whole thing. That was hard. But what's harder was trying to record MAD and refraining myself from singing at the same time. NO FUNKY GLASSES GIE WOOT!!! and did i tell you he was wearing jeans this time? i was too far away to care really. btw, he greeted the audience before Mad, love that "y'all" accent. LANDI! he said something about running through his stuff earlier and seeing his AI audition number 74002. he took out a card w/ the said number from his jean pocket and showed it to the audience. he went on saying how grateful he was from being that number then to now. everybody went "aawww.." he was the only one who really talked and shared something personal to the crowd. You heard about Gokey's, but this is different. Moving on, raised you flags troopers, hand to chest, Anoop singing our national anthem. My Prerogative. I decided to give this last song my full force attention *ubo* gyrations baby *ubo* so i passed the camera for my sister to record. I did the first two. for some reason, i blanked on the "nasty" part, but i was present on "spread myself around" i danced it sitting, if that's possible. Anoop's set finished. Here comes Fedora Matt, the people on our left went berserk. one stood up went to the railings and waved the glittery Matt poster. A for effort but seriously? So he sang, played the piano, lalala. Top 10-5 medley, Mr. Long and Lean, little did i know, he was really that. More of that, later. I'm beggin' beggin' youuuuuu.... from where i'm sitting, hard to tell if was wearing glasses this time. For all group performances, you have to rely on your eyes, 'coz they don't use the huge screens to focus anybody.
INTERMISSION. Peeing lines were crazy!!! They made us throw our sealed water bottles away before we enter the premise. Behind every action, a reason lies w/in. Yun pala yun? Kahit saan pa yung linya, kahit ano pa, basta may linya, OA sa haba.
ALISON. Her set made me partially deaf... and numb. Rocker chick pala ha, rock nga talaga. I like her vocals, but i'm not a big fan of rock. If you like rock, you'll like her set. Poor girl, she's gonna have to belt it out 'til September. No wonder she's getting sick. That voice so precious, so unique for her young age. Up next, Gokey. Wait a minute! I thought these fans around me were Eba's, WTHeck! Everybody cheering for Danny?! What is wrong w/ you people!!! so he sang his songs, at the end of every w/c, you could tell he's pushing it, me and my sister were shaking our heads, smiling wryly. By the end of Danny's set, people are high. I hope Gokey didn't mistook this "highness" for himself. People wanted to see Adam Lambert perform! And there he was, in all his glam. Oh my frakkin' gulay.... this son-of-a-gun is one hawt male species. Started off w/ "Whole Lotta Love" there was this mom sitting in front of me w/ a 4 or 5 yr old girl beside her. Poor kid, saw her covering her ears a few times during Eba's set. and she was holding on to her mom all throughout. Cute but sad. I enjoyed Starlight the most. ADISON did there duet, Slow Ride, no undies for Adam this time. When he removed his jacket for the bowie medley, all hell break loose. and so did he. He was prim and proper na pala for the first 4 songs, this last one, there's no holding back. Wahey! juding na juding ang lola ko. Pinanis infantile gyrations ni Anoop. OMGulay... bulag na ba kayo? am i boring you like crazy w/ my yakking? Last na! AI winner, Kris Allen!!! Yey. my box is not a big fan, i hear them cheering though, but not the cougar beside me. She thought Adam should've won, and Gokey the runner-up. Sorry na lang tita. Boto-boto lang yan. Anyway, KA started w/ Heartless. Nice. I wish that Killers song was familiar, i would've enjoyed it more. Ain't No Sunshine was decent. I dunno this time, felt like when Adam left the stage, i had no energy left. Not that i was screaming my lungs out for him or anything, it was just Adam's set was the climax of the show. Kris following him was kinda odd. And this from a fan, mind you. Then he sang Matchbox 20's Bright Lights, my sister went berserk! (she's a huge Rob Thomas fan, the singing in the vid explains it. Heads up for all of yah, we don't sound the same, swear). And so i was partially awaken from this trance. Before i know it, Hey Jude was playing, i was singing along Na na na na nanananana. The rest of the idols came out, Anoop in his kapote. Bakit ba hindi pa 'toh iniwan sa tacoma? Don't Stop Believing. End part, I noticed Matt nudged Anoop, these two were up to something. They started to do a bit of their own dancing, but they stopped. And so did the show. Lights on. Back to reality.
