150 flying hours required for a CPL.
40 hours to earn an instrument rating (which allows you to fly in low-visibility conditions or bad weather), 10 to 20 hours of which may be earned in a simulator.

always wanted to be a pilot but my eyes wont do. im wearing glasses na since i was in grade school.
^^hmm.. i think ok ra mag glasses basta dili lang ka colorblind.
Basta correctible to 20/20, in other words if your eyesight is equivalent to 20/20 when wearing your glasses, okay ra na. Your medical certificate will simply state that you must have (though not necessarily wear) your glasses when flying.
And as Cesski says, color blindness and problems with depth perception are disqualifying.
hmmm. will start saving that money for my son para kung nahan sya pilot... go dayon!
