Another doctor in my hospital where I work is a philanthropist and an atheist. He thinks that since our god doesn't provide solutions to some other people that needed help, he conducts yearly check up and clinics to puerto rico.

To me, those qualities are exceptional and commendable.

IMO, I don't think that having religion can only serve this kind of purpose. We can even ask without the help of a religion. Also, it's too many channels to get to something for the sake of human kindness.
Well you can also lie about it right? word of mouth are sometimes if not most of the times unreliable... Trip how often do you heard of medical missions? tell me are they bringing the athiesm belief? I don't think so you know why? Its the church that supported thier missions majority of this missions are comming from churches... Philantrophist are exception you know why? they are doing it because of Tax interest... so they feel rather than giving it to the Government better support a charity because it makes them feel better and makes the people better...

So again what your ATHIESM contribute again? and what about you did you have that feeling of care for others? You see ATHIESM is not into this matter anyways, so why would you be concerned... but churches keep appealing to people's hearts to give, some churches force it mostly don't. In the end its not the belief that matters its the Help! We just cannot rely on Athiesm on this area.. sorry!

Its true, what can an atheist really do when a friend dies or a wife or a member of the family? will they just think that ahhh ok niserve na to siya sa iyang purpose, so deads na, the end...

or somebody gets raped? will they say it was just a chemical reaction, no harm done... and the suspect, if he gets away with it? what then? walay heaven or hell to judge him? how lucky...

the thing is religion keeps people in line...

doing good para pogi points for god? para maka pwesto sa langit? see, that...and he's buying the stairway to heaven.
ur covering both ends? does this mean that u dont believe in God yet if there is one ud rather go to heaven?

nope that's not true. we would also mourn and be sad. para nako.. i would think that the person died would not suffer anymore he is at free and at peace. and i would always remember the good ol' happy days that when we were together.

or somebody gets raped? will they say it was just a chemical reaction, no harm done... and the suspect, if he gets away with it? what then? walay heaven or hell to judge him? how lucky...
just like anybody else we would strongly have the crime be brought to justice.. well if the person committed the crime would repent he would be forgiven anyway.. so it's useless to have heaven or hell as assurance na dili mohimo og crime ang tawo

the thing is religion keeps people in line...
yes in the sense.. like puppets

Hi ate, yes i knw that a lot atheist are doin some charitable works, was just doin my thing, exposing the obvious regarding charitable works na ginagawa ng mga faith based na grupo, including some foundations, both go/ngo, kadalasan if not most of the time they are capitalizing the so called deprived/needy under the pretense of charity just to raise funds for their own charitable shit, though my mga show works naman sila na i-advertise, you knw picture taking, etc. but the big bulk of the money goes to their "holy account"

Brad i don't even think mo too ka nako... so cut the crap... paka ulaw? hahaha! no Believing me or not brad its up to you!

I know its not about giving the problem here... its about your MONEY! You are just believing in a doctrine of selfishness.. I hope you don't practice that selfishness...

You see nobody had given me a good Athiest Charity Group... in that sense Athiesm just don't care its a doctrine of self and self alone...

of course we can get scam, and you can get scam on you charity donation if you are not doing it by yourself... question can you do it? It's not a valid JUSTIFICATION not to give because somebody will get RICH... well, if that is the case, then its your money that counts not your help! if you are suppose to Give you are not suppose to account for it right? then let them do thier job and let you do your job! Thats it... and make sure you give to a group with credentials...

I know that ATHIESM money is everything... its about you and what you can do to yourself... Gud day nnu mga Athiest... Remember brad Charitable institutions are always required to posts thier liquidation... you can even demand from them...

Actually sis, its the fear of trusting someone we do not know... give to the more credible if you want, but its not your obligation anyways... so just don't mind the goodness, it wont matter anyway...

What i just cited are just a concern that these Athiesm belief are in no way be responsible in terms of community involvement... you can never see a group of Athiest helping community bsan sa Cebu... its because they just don't care... its a serous FLAW though! but they don't mind anyway it don't matter to them!

One more thing ABS CBN does Charity... they are not religious, but never atheist either!
