hehehe, nalingaw ko. anyway, mura man jud convinced si bro cointoss nga di jud molabaw ang c2d sa c2q, let us look at some benchmarks. in multi-threaded applications, e.g. video encoding, mas naa jud edge ang c2q because of the fact nga mas daghan siya thread ma-execute. on the other hand, mas paspas ang c2d with a higher clock speed kung dili kailangan ang daghan ra kaayo nga threads, e.g. games [not all games use four threads simultaneously, ang mga multi-threaded games karon usually one or two thread(s) ra ang gamiton].
AnandTech Bench (beta): Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 vs Intel Core 2 Duo E8500
so please, open up your mind a little bit. and feel free to compare any processor you like.
If there are no 2 core processors and only quads exist, then majority of games would utilize the 4 cores.
Answers why games are more leaning on 2 core systems is simple.
Count how many users are using dual core and quads.
If games are design how to perform better on quads, how would you enjoy a game in dual core system?
bro ask lang ko dri...what if quadcore imong pc nya not use for gaming bt for video editing and simple internet browsing.
subra ra kaha ni? disregard lng internet connection, pc performance lang. dualcore from a quad. nya 64-bit or 32-bit. salamat...

Kung dili ka mag gaming, quad na ka then 64 bit OS kung more than 3GB of Ram kay 3.5GB ra man ang pwede sa 32 bit OS, AFAIK...
mas maau noon ang quad bro, if you wl be using a certain video editing app nga mo-utilize sa 4 cores (winAVI 9 for example utilizes 4 cores) mas advatage jud. procie manufacturer are starting phasing out those 2-cored procies.. so better stay on the quad side. then depende sad na sa imo application bro kung mo-utilize na cya sa 64bit architecture. ang advantage lng is that a 64bit system can support 3.5Gb and up nga ram w/c is dli supported sa 32bit nga sysytem (as per bofox stated).
Both quad and dual core are good in gaming, it all depends on the program. There will be programs and games in the future that will benefit quad processors especially with hyperthreading.
