and the bands or writers may not know it but most indie rock i heard from Cold War Kids to Pedro The Lion to The Low Anthem to Bright Eyes to Iron and Wine tackles faith in an engaging way.
Cold War Kids does it from the christian perspective while Sam Beam (Iron and Wine) and Bright Eyes do it from the perspective of somebody who loses faith in GOd.
These two aspects are very important in understanding people and it's a great conversation stimulant to engage Christ in a language they understand...
