    Yes. Space elevators will only work if the "top" floor is at geosynch orbit, which, at the plane of the Earth's equator has a radius of approximately 42,164 km (from the center of the Earth). A satellite in such an orbit is at an altitude of approximately 35,786 km above mean sea level. The moon is about 385,000 km from the earth, which means dili mag work ang space elevator.
