    5. Why is God such a huge proponent of slavery in the bible? The post includes examples of how ’slaves should obey their masters as they would obey Christ’, amongst others. Personally I would substitute this one for something else. Perhaps ‘why is God so jealous and unforgiving in the old testament?’
*first the events in the bible happened during the time that slavery is legal... and our concept of slavery might be different from their meaning of it...

    6. Why do bad things happen to good people? Such as their deaths in painful ways. If they are going to meet God anyway, why deprive them of their lives?
*things happen for a reason... but according to my baptist uncle death is something to be happy about than the opposite because is the only way for man to actually meet GOd.. dont worry about true Christians they are not afraid of death...

    7. Why didn’t any of Jesus’ miracles in the bible leave behind any evidence? It’s quite strange. All we really have is a book compiled 200 years after his death, written mostly by people who never met him.
*its also a wonder that library in alexandria got burned it would have been much easier to see if Jesus did actually exist... mura diay chismis si Jesus ani, re-written over time and generation... according to my source pero basin sayop na pud ako sabot sa iya pasabot ang pagsuwat sa bible kay not done in one sitting... naa mga scribe na sige ug copy and paste ani nya na nagpuyo sa cave para dili sila madakpan...
    8. How do we explain the fact that Jesus has never appeared to you? If he’s all-powerful and timeless, why wait for a second-coming?
*because namaty namn siya sakto si Mr.Seven... and kung mu-ari pa siya wala'y pulos nag pagsend sa holy spirit... see pagkamatay ni Jesus ang nipuli sa iyaha kay ang Holy ghost na... makakita sa transtion in the old testament we see a GOd na napaka-active sige lang pakita... then he sent his son... then the holy ghost... mura tinagli ni duty dah... ang duty balik ni Christ kay sa second coming na..
    9. Why would Jesus want you to eat his body and drink his blood? If you actually consider this for a second, it sounds more Satanic than Christian. And no, if you are Catholic as opposed to a derivative such as an Anglican, you believe that you are really consuming Jesus’ flesh and blood.
*umm ambot lang sa uban pero ambi nako ang sabot ana kay accepting CHrist not literally flesh and blood... for me lang it means be in one with GOd... kung mu-eat ka ug something that something you eat becomes part of you... kaya gani kang sige ug kaon ug orange kay mag-color orange sad...

    10. Why do Christians get divorced at the same rate as non-Christians? “What God has put together, let no man put asunder”. But it happens regardless.
*christians commit sins also...dili man sila perfect... for everyone has sinned and fall short of the Glory of God... including Christians...

mu-agree sad ko ni mr.bluedes on purity.. and sa tubag ni MR. seven...

ingon sa ako bana the probablity and evidence that GOd exist is the same as that God dont exist... it would have been alot easier to belive in GOd or Jesus kung nag leave na lang siya ug usa ka vandal sa wall sa jerusalem that says :Jesus was here... or something like Jesus:Now a name Soon a legend...

but no gipalisod-lisod gyud ta sa Ginoo mutuo sa iyaha... ngano kaha...

complex man gud siya... we can answer Mr.reg's question base on logic, what we learned, heared but we can nevr be sure kung kana gyud ang saktong answer base sa pang huna-huna and motives sa Ginoo...

then it boils down to miyay's answer : FAITH...

they should'nt feel bad becuase they are lessons? naman, how deluded.
I do not mean to be insensitive & please, you are messing my own words. It does NOT imply joy over tragedy. That's just silly/ "delusional" as you have called it. Life can be harsh. Everyone at some point deal with horrible things - disaster, disease, death, divorce etc. And how do they deal with it? Some blow their brains out with a revolver and others face the fire and move on. So which one are you? I'm talking about growing thru tribulation and tragedy. Gaining strength comes with a price(if you pray for strength), building muscle/endurance to the spirit and theres no other way but this. These people born of defects, blindness, amputations, paralysis struggling for independence, these are examples of an unbroken spirit. Just because the body is broken, doesnt mean the spirit is too. That also means we don't do anything & remain indifferent to their needs. They are there because they need our support and they are there because they inspire us to be better people. If everything were ok, then why do we need friends? Why would you think this forum exist in the first place? Is it to show off our awe & wisdom? Come on. I dont think so.

The tsunami tragedy does not tell me God as the punisher (if you thought that way however). It shows you how vulnerable & needy we are as people. As humans. Obviously we have very different "deluded" views on that but i see it as an opportunity to patch up what was once broken. We live to fix things, build & improvise. Something from nothing. Not praise for nothing. Gets?

    With statements like:
Bad things happen to let the world know our wickedness

I was getting the impression that say... the Sichuan earthquake, cyclone Nargis, and the 2004 tsunami are reminders of our wickedness? Bad things happen to people to serve as reminders of our "wickedness" and to "keep us humble". Really now.

Bad things happen because they can. To give purpose to them like, letting us "know our wickedness" is off-putting and insensitive.

Ok. Here it is. Bad things like crime & murder. Hows that? I was generalizing "Bad Things" and sorry i may have forgotten to cover Bad Things caused by natural calamities. Leme give you an example: The earthquake that hit the phils back in the early 90s. Devastating right? What did we do? I'm pretty sure we didnt go shopping that time. Thats just evil.

Victims of families were comforted, sheltered, clothed & fed. Did you have any idea how great that was? (not the earthquake). That was our purpose & that was effing awesome

Guess I should look forward to the next calamity then. So I can have the chance to do good.
