Have extra cash go for 4850, have less cash go for 4770, Either way both are good choices, you won't regret any of those 2 choices.

Although its very hard to find 4770's this days, since the suppliers want manila resellers to sell them instead of cebu resellers and such. I was able to stock 2 4770's sa powercolor, but instantly sold when i got them.

6months ago, the 4830 was. then came the 4770, and sweet AMD equipped it with DDR5 memory which did help 4770 gained some performance..

if crossfiring, and options are 4850, 4830 and 4770, i would suugest 2x4770. better yet, a single 4870 or a 4890...
