Unruly ang mga taw? By doing what? Having rallies? Well, an important part of democracy is the right of self-expression. Should we just throw that right, and the rights to freedom of speech and of the press and of self-assembly, just so GMA can feel good? Last I checked, the Philippines is a democratic republic. Since when have we become a fascist state?

Note that there's no strong evidence for a supposed "coup attempt". The "state of emergency" declaration probably damaged our economy more than the rumors of a coup attempt. The so-called "coup" to be staged by the Scout Rangers and the Marines was actually a plan by many Marine Officers to join the rallies last Friday, unarmed, to show solidarity with the masses. Is that sufficient to call it a "state of emergency" and drive away even more investors? That's paranoia.

Â*using them in 2004 elections, and even those generals mentioned in those tapes kay mao pa ang na promote og gibutang sa mga position nga nindot.

I saw him on the Sharon show with Mike Defensor of all people as I was flipping channels looking for more news on the Fort Boni thing. Though that was probably taped.

if not for the SNE declaration ESCUDERO would be out in the streets right now brandishing to the reporters his anti-arroyo slogan..i think he's more reserved this time.

^^ OT: I have actually personally met Chiz and some of his family. I don't know about him being "drivel-mouthed", to use your terms... He seemed like a very nice fellow, well educated, friendly, acted very ordinarily, you wouldn't think he was a House official from his demeanor. I'm sure if he had happened to be a GMA supporter, you'd like him a lot.
