according to my psych teacher, naa daw cya student before na ni ana nga pang MASA ra jd daw na ang havaianas maong di mupalit ana ang student.. kay ang slippers mn sad sa student kay jimmy choo ug ang bag chanel. and puro orig jd daw. hmmm...so technically, for those who are REALLY rich, wala ra na ang havaianas, mura ra na ug kanang rubber slippers na mapalit sa merkado, kanang red, blue, green ug yellow man cguro na ang colors...

I totally agree.

It's all about "status" ... no matter how a user argues that it's more comfortable than your generic flip-flops, the value still does not justify the fact that it is STILL a pair of flip flops.

i bet my money on the fact that people don't really buy these slippers because they are alot more comfortable. but because...well.... to be quite frank (not trying to generalize but no offense sa ma-igo) aron ingnon datu. lets face it, expensive material things are status symbol. it makes you look rich... bahalag walay kaon nyahahaha... some people don't mind spending half of their hard earned salary all for the sake of looking "cool,trendy and posh" (which is ridiculous). here in europe, havaianas don't really sell around here. they cost about 10-15 euros but nobody cares to buy them.

and if you go for those "luxury" slippers, just make sure you also have the luxury car to go with it. kay kung mag jeep or mag baklay ra mo then forget it! it's not worth it. but then it's your money so who cares. but whether your rich or poor, spending a thousand on a slipper which is only made of rubber is impractical and a little foolish.

oye! oye! oye! three thumbs up for this! i totally agree with you.. i'd rather buy slippers or flip-flops that would at least fit the budget range and not go over para lang mapakita sa ubang tao nga nindut kag tsinelas, kundi branded bah.. being 'barat' is not a crime, its just how life should be right now tungod sa ka mahal sa ubang neccessities na imong kailangan like food and whatever you need para mabuhi tah..don't tell me nga you'll just a couple of thousands just for an expensive slipper/flip-flop?? lelz.. just be practical nlng dba? hehe!

i wear a $10 flip flop from walmart! nobody cares about flip flops around here. sa atoa raman ang pa garaay kaayo. bisag unsaon ug bali-bali TSINELAS ra gihapon na! lolx.
