i only have 1 pair of 'expensive slippers' (ipanema) and i didn't regret buying it. u know why? more than 1 year na ni nako sige gamit EVERYDAY, as in mapauran or going to the mall (see how versatile it is?) and grabe jud ku maka-abuse sa akong tsinelas. bugbog sarado sa akong tiil akong slippers but until now, it's still in very good condition!!! kung sa baratuhon pa na tsinelas, dugay raku sige ug ilis2x/palit2x kay maguba or mahilis rasad dayun ang rubber. so mas gastos man ang ing-ana diba? but this one slipper i own? sus ang rubber murag bag-o pa gihapon.
my point is, i think it is better to INVEST on a much expensive brand as long as it is made of great quality, slippers or not. kanang magamit pirmi but dugay maguba. kaysa sige ug barato2x nya dali maguba. so replace nasad.
what's impractical for me is collecting such expensive slippers. palit havaianas diri, havaianas didto. oh well, it's their money anyway. :/ maybe they have lots of money to waste..
maypa ipalit sud-an ug bugas.naa man daghan tsinelas diha nga nindot ug barato
i bet my money on the fact that people don't really buy these slippers because they are alot more comfortable. but because...well.... to be quite frank (not trying to generalize but no offense sa ma-igo) aron ingnon datu. lets face it, expensive material things are status symbol. it makes you look rich... bahalag walay kaon nyahahaha... some people don't mind spending half of their hard earned salary all for the sake of looking "cool, trendy and posh" (which is ridiculous). here in europe, havaianas don't really sell around here. they cost about 10-15 euros but nobody cares to buy them.
and if you go for those "luxury" slippers, just make sure you also have the luxury car to go with it. kay kung mag jeep or mag baklay ra mo then forget it! it's not worth it. but then it's your money so who cares. but whether your rich or poor, spending a thousand on a slipper which is only made of rubber is impractical and a little foolish.

Naa koi tsinelas nga less than 150 pero halos three years na nako gi-gamit. Na-gamit na sa beach, sa mall, sa bukid, sa cr, sa tanan lugar. Pero alive pa gihapon.
Maypa mu-palit nalang ko 1 dozen ka baratohon. Malingaw pa ko ug change2x sa color and style to match my mood.
they buy all those expensive stuff because they have pride.
Well, i always go for quality than quantity. I dont care if it's expensive or i might blow the budget. Bahala na gamay ra kog slippers compared to those who have hundreds. Basta mine is of great quality, okay na ko ana.![]()
Same here !! two thumbs up!!
