Is Mindanao Really a Scary Region?

I am a veritable Cebuano by birth,I was born and raised here,I even finished my college degree at CIT,I am now residing here in Misamis Occidental Mindanao for almost 5 years for personal reasons(though not always staying there for I'm working abroad)pero AFAIK peaceful man didto,although contrasting ang lifetsyle unlike sa Cebu pero relaxing man (duol man pud ko ug beach mga 500 meters ra),enjoy man gihapon ko didto,pero dili gyud malikayan naay mga badlongon (naa man pud dire sa ato samot na gani karon kumpara adto college days nako) pero active man pud pulis didto,wala lang pud ko masinati maayo sa ubang parts sa Mindanao labi na sa Muslim areas.

last 2004 national election nasuroy nako ang mga lugar sa mindanao, except lang sa mga critical nga mga areas. dili man mangadto ang mga kandidato kay kuyaw man, bombahan unya eg meeting de avance. kanang misamis oriental ug occidental murag na suroy man namu na ang tanang lungsod. kaengun ko nga exaggerated ra kaayo ng balita sa radyo ug newspaper kay ang gubot tua ra sa basilan or jolo, eangen dayon ang tibuok mindanao. like sa davao, mas peaceful pa man gani compared sa cebu. walay mang snatch ug celfon didto.

of course not. depende pud sa lugar.

pero if you keep a low profile ok ra ka, you're safe

example, if you live in a NPA prone area, dont make concrete house loaded with much electronics
just give them food if anha sila imu house then you're ok

i dont think mindanao is a scary place.. btw our province is located in mindanao.. there are just some parts of mindanao that are dangerous.. and thats the place where the rebels are staying(obviously).. LOL.

Actually mindanao is basically the same with other provinces in the philippines ang problema lang mas na promote sa media kidnapping kay sa development..

If e-compare ang Mindanao ug Cebu, mas delikado pa ang Cebu. Ka safe ra didto kay daghan kaayo military nag patrol sa highway. Suroy sa Cebu nya wala kay hanaw nga daghang dautang elemento, delikado pa ka patyon/tulisan/kuotan/ilaron.
