IF we go by definitions, an atheist lacks belief in god/gods. My rejection of the idea of god, as something illogical and unreasonable, follows that I lack belief in the existence of god.
I am an atheist.
On the other hand, an agnostic, acknowledges that these things are unknowable. I also share the same position.
So, I am also an agnostic.
Atheism and Agnosticism are not mutually exclusive.
