E61i resolution is a draw back. Almost 90% of the games i dl have 240X320 resolution.... E61i have 320x240... So, take note that its also not that 3rd party friendly... Though some s60 3ed softwares run perfectly, like smartmovie and mobitubia, alot of games for s60 3ed are made with 240X320. But i would still recommend this phone rather that the samsung i600 or the 780. Coz the 780 also have issues with 3rd party with its screen resolutioin. Even though i780 boast a better procesor speed, what would you do with it if you keep on running out of batt. The e61i has a more balanced spec as against to speed and battery life.

btw: the samsung i780 comes with one extra batt free. Instead of thinking that it adds icing to the cake, just think twice, why would samsung add a additional battery for?? Heheheheheh

just my 2cents, i hope i dnt offended anyone

come to think of it Spencer, your actually correct on that. the drawback on the e61i is the resolution, but it also is an advantage when it comes to browsing.

And by the way, your always entitled to your opinions no matter what people tell you. Just as long as you don't break any forums rules.

But I still think a Nokia is better than any windows mobile phone. (as of the moment, this could change depending on the se xperia!)

while that is true in older 3rd edition apps...newer apps should be multi resolution capable as they found the need for it in the e90 resolutions...
apps running on the outside also needs to run in the inside screen. screen resolution should be less and less of a issue with the nokia 3rd edition units

yup, Mark's right. new apps are already available in diff resolutions.

also, the e61i was never meant for gaming, but more on browsing the net, and messenging.

as for windows mobile, its not for the basic phone user.
these kind of phones cater more to the advance users knowing the capabilities and possiblities of having a WM OS.
that's why WM phones dont change so much because the target end user is a stereotyped niche.

WM phone makers know who buys their phones and the needs that go with it.

this goes with blackberries as well.

for nokia, its end consumer market is a wide range, and that's why its realeasing so many models with a mix and match features and looks to cater to a very broad end market.

bottomline is, your phone is something that will meet your needs.

For me i would prefer Samsung i780, that has almost everything:
3G HSDPA (3.6 Mbps) [need this speed much in doing data session if there's no Hot Spot available]
AGPS Enhanced GPS (There's a 3rd party that provides Cebu maps or Phil. maps in general)
WIFI Yes [alternative way in connecting data session]
Push Email capable [for on the go people who has no time using pc/laptop]
External Memory MicroSD ( up to 8GB) [3rd party application hungry etc...]
WinMo OS Professional [upgradable to latest winmo os pro]

    This is just my cents
