by far E61i is way much better and more capable and easier to use...

-clearer and more vivid colour display (16million colour)
-better sound output
-better keys for faster texting
-symbian OS
-larger battery
-better web browser & a wap browser
-more 3rd party software.
-2MP camera
-office file editing
-skype-ing as well as messengering
faster easier more robust interface...way better support...

the major advantages of i600 over the e61i are HSDPA, a2dp and front facing cam for video calling....

the annoying thing bout the i600
- No edit before call
- Microphone poor quality
- Small screen
- Switching between connection e.g. telco or WiFi very tricky. sometime you won't know which actual connection is using
- 3G & HSDPA buggy
- "Colorful" on-screen number - while making phone calls (i personally hate this in all samsung)
- Bluetooth handsfree poor quality
- Web navigation very inconvenient, try browsing with E61i and you will know
- No editing of office documents
- Proprietary termination on cable end (not USB to USB)
- No IR

so as you can see all major 3 advantages of the i600 over the e61i also comes with its own flaws...its has HSDPA but buggy...its has a2dp but poor quality...it has front facing camera but poor quality...

btw, for mac users e61i is supported by isync...i600 is not supported...

if you buy a new e6i1, you wont be able to sign apps yet so you might be hindered in installing some apps that require signing.
windows mobile doesnt need its apps to be signed prior to installing them. so this gives you more freedom.

im not sure if hsdpa is already in use in cebu so this might not be a big factor yet. but this feature will make your handset at least future-proof.
the switching of connections and the buggy connection pointed out by mark may not be big negative once you iron out how to use the functions. i have used the hsdpa connection but only thru phone, havent tried using my phone as the modem for my laptop since my postpaid plan did not have unlimited data services ye(i still have to apply). wifi is ok. used it to connect to free hotspots.

there are forums who offer cracked copies of Symbian apps and offer free signing. i go there all the time..
E61i ako recommend bro.. or save the money, and wait for the E71. you could view flash pages, a feature which i envy so very much.

maybe your not up to date anymore. they cannot sign apps anymore. this has been put on hold.
